Full Job Description

At Little sister cafe we are looking for an experienced and qualified Chef to join our friendly team. The Ideal Candidate will be passionate, reliable and enthusiastic about ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation and service is upheld at all times.

Your duties include but not limited to:

Become a part of one of the Modern Cafes in Keilor East.
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation and quality control.
Lead and mentor a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff to ensure consistent, high-quality food production.
Develop and refine innovative, seasonal menus that showcase your culinary expertise and align with the cafe’s brand and concept.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Collaborate with the management team to manage inventory, cost control and optimise kitchen efficiency.
Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales.
Work with top-quality produce and international ingredients.
To prepare and cook according to our recipes.
Ensure appealing plate presentation.
Preparing and Storing food in accordance with hygiene legislation.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications: Hospitality Management.

Skills:

We are looking for energetic and passionate candidates who can work in a hybrid home based and office environment, with the following skills:

At least 2 years of relevant experience as sous Chef.
Applicants with cookery qualifications highly regarded.
Ability to work in fast paced environment and be confident in busy service.
Sound understanding of food hygiene.
Flexible working hours as the position may require evening work including weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
