About the job:
As Analytical Development Lead, you will lead the analytical development function within our Brisbane Development Centre, overseeing a team of analytical scientists responsible for supporting the development of innovative self-care products. Combining deep technical expertise in analytical chemistry with strong experience in HPLC, analytical method development and method validation , alongside people leadership capabilities, you will ensure the delivery of robust analytical methods, high-quality scientific outcomes and effective project support across the product development lifecycle.
You will play a key role in shaping the future capabilities of the development centre, driving continuous improvement, fostering collaboration across global and local teams, and ensuring the analytical department remains at the forefront of scientific and operational excellence.

Main responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of analytical scientists, fostering a collaborative, high-performing and growth-focused environment.
- Oversee analytical method development, validation, transfer and troubleshooting activities to support new product development and lifecycle projects.
- Provide scientific leadership and project support across development programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable analytical data.
- Review and approve analytical protocols, reports and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
- Act as the key representative for the analytical development function, communicating project progress, risks and outcomes to stakeholders across the business.
- Manage departmental priorities, resources, budgets and investment plans to deliver project objectives and strengthen laboratory capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, laboratory readiness for audits and inspections, and the adoption of new technologies to enhance scientific excellence.
About you:
- Degree qualified in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related scientific discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in analytical method development, validation and transfer within a regulated laboratory environment.
- Strong technical expertise in HPLC and chromatographic techniques, with the ability to provide scientific leadership and guidance to others.
- Experience leading, mentoring or managing technical teams and creating an environment where people can perform at their best.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present scientific information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple projects, make informed decisions and deliver results in a complex development environment.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach, with a passion for continuous improvement and developing future capability.
