The purpose of the Dental Assistant role is to
Support the delivery of safe clinical care and procedures and contribute to achieving patient care goals in dental health. This role ensures that all equipment and supplies adhere to infection control standards, including the sterilisation and processing of dental equipment and the treatment rooms are maintained in a safe and organised manner.
Reception and Administration training will also be provided to the successful candidate. Manage appointment bookings, billing, payment processes, records and document management, as well as answering Patient queries.

What you’ll need to make it possible
- Provide chair-side assistance for dental professionals providing dental treatment including usage of suction, passing instruments and materials, mixing techniques, assist in x-rays procedures and knowledge of instrumentation.
- Clean and prepare the treatment room, dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards and BDC procedures;
- Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplace.
- Be responsible for work performed with a medium level of accountability or discretion
- Assist with the management of appointment schedules including booking, cancellation, rebooking and confirming appointments as required.
