Permanent full-time position - 76 hours per fortnight

Join Peninsula Private Hospital and play a crucial role behind the scenes in delivering exceptional patient care.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented CSSD Technician to join our highly regarded perioperative team in a full-time capacity. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, sterilisation, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient safety are maintained.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CSSD professional, or someone looking to further develop their career within a supportive and collaborative hospital environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas
Operate interpret and document all machinery operational requirements
Report and document all quality activities
Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes

Peninsula Private is a 65-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 6 operating theatres and a new high dependency unit to open in the near future, located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.

Essential Criteria:

Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation, Cert III qualification is essential
Sound knowledge of sterilisation techniques
Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various databases
An interest in promoting best practice patient care
A focus on professional development
