Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mackay, Queensland. This permanent, full-time position is crucial for driving innovative electrical solutions and ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in electrical engineering, demonstrating a strong ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop electrical systems and components for various engineering projects.
Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Conduct detailed analyses and simulations to validate electrical designs and performance.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and project plans.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on project management.
Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
Professional Engineering registration or eligibility for registration is preferred.
