Accounts Clerk / Office Administration (Casual – School Hours)
We are a small, family-friendly arborist business based at Wongawallan, near Tamborine Mountain, and we are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join our team.
This is a casual position, initially 1–2 days per week during school hours, with additional days available when covering staff on leave and as our business continues to grow.
About the Role
The successful applicant will assist with a variety of office administration and accounts duties, including:
- Preparing quotations and invoices for tree works
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Small payroll including superannuation
- Experience with quarterly BAS preparation and lodgement (preferred but not essential)
- Answering telephone inquiries
- Responding to email correspondence
- Preparing and lodging Council applications
- General office administration
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience using MYOB accounting software
- Knowledge of Xero, or the ability to quickly learn it, as we transition one of our businesses in the coming months
- Good touch-typing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A warm, friendly and professional telephone manner
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to prepare professional business correspondence independently
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work confidently without supervision, use initiative, solve problems and manage competing priorities in a small business environment
