Role: Intensive Therapeutic Care Worker (Significant Disabilities)

Employment Type: Casual

Location: Tweed Heads

As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting a young person living with an acquired brain injury (ABI) who is non-verbal and has complex, high-care support needs. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care that promotes the young person's safety, wellbeing, independence, and quality of life. Using a trauma-informed and therapeutic approach, you will build a safe, consistent, and trusting relationship that promotes emotional regulation and wellbeing.

Our residential homes operate 24/7, and successful applicants will have the opportunity to work a roster which can include morning, afternoon, sleepovers, active nights and weekend shifts.

Role requirements:

Hold or be actively completing a Diploma in Community Services or related field (or higher) (Please note: a qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
Experience supporting Children, Young People and/or People with disability
Experience providing personal care, manual handling and administrating medication
A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate
A current driver’s licence

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check.
