What you’ll be doing
Are you passionate about supporting people to learn new skills, gain confidence, and step into the workforce? We are seeking expressions of interest for experienced Trainers & Assessors in Individual Support to join our team.
Our trainers work with students through face-to-face and online delivery to provide training, support, and assessment. Training may be delivered in the Hunter, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, or Central Coast regions, so travel may be required.
As a Trainer & Assessor, you will:
- Design and deliver engaging, interactive training sessions tailored to students at various levels, including trainees, job seekers, and individuals with Literacy, Language and Numeracy (LLN) gaps.
- Create comprehensive lesson plans, presentations, and assessments to enhance the learning experience.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.
- Stay current with your industry area and bring real-world knowledge into your training delivery.

What you’ll bring to the table
We employ trainers who are actively engaged in industry practice while teaching, giving students insight into current trends and real-world processes.
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or TAE40116 or TAE40122), or a higher-level qualification in adult education.
- Relevant vocational qualifications in Individual Support or related qualifications from the CHC package.
- Current industry engagement in your area of expertise.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Suite and Office 365.
- Experience delivering training to students with barriers to education will also be highly regarded.
