Figtree Private Hospital is a Ramsay Health Care facility offering rehabilitation, medical, early parenting centre and sleep study facility. It offers a full range of services for patients recovering from recent surgery, pain or any condition where there is a need to improve functional ability and strength.
Job Description
We are seeking an Environmental Services Assistant to provide day-day cleaning across our hospital on casual basis. This opportunity will have you being a part of a brilliant team of people responsible for providing the highest standards of cleanliness.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Ensuring all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas

Upholding infection control standards by adhering to standard protocols and any additional precautions

Disposing of soiled general and clinical waste
-
Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
-
Maintaining communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders ensuring quality clinical outcomes are achieved
You will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidates will be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.

Previous experience in a hospital environment is highly regarded but not essential

Experience in commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and carpet shampoo machines and the ability to operate this heavier style equipment

Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus

Compliance Workplace, Health and Safety and Infection Control

Have experience in cleaning services

Be a team player and love to work within a large team

Demonstrate attention to detail and take pride in your work

Self-motivation and proficiency in working effectively while adhering to instructions and infection prevention and control

Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster is essential including mornings, afternoons and nights
