The Role
Select Events Canberra is looking for a reliable, hands-on and safety-focused Event Logistics Driver & Warehouse Assistant to join our Canberra team.
This is a varied operational role combining truck driving, warehouse duties and event logistics. You will be responsible for safely preparing, loading, transporting, delivering and storing event equipment while supporting our operations team with event bump-ins and bump-outs.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive company trucks to deliver and collect event equipment and materials.
- Safely load and unload trucks and other vehicles.
- Pick, pack and prepare equipment for upcoming events.
- Ensure loads are appropriately secured for transportation.
- Assist with event equipment deliveries, collections, bump-ins and bump-outs.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment where appropriately licensed.
- Receive, check and correctly store returned event equipment.
- Maintain an organised, clean and safe warehouse.
- Assist with stock movements and inventory control.
- Conduct basic vehicle and equipment checks and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Follow WHS, manual handling, transport and company safety procedures.
- Work closely with warehouse, operations and event teams to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Assist with other warehouse and operational duties as required.
About You
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- HR truck licence required
- Previous truck driving, warehouse, logistics, transport or similar experience.
- Forklift Licence (LF) advantageous.
- Experience loading, unloading and securing equipment safely.
- Physically fit and comfortable undertaking regular manual handling.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for allocated tasks.
- Flexibility with working hours, including occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends depending on event schedules.
Experience within the events, exhibitions, marquees, equipment hire or logistics industry would be highly regarded but is not essential.
