Full Job Description

JBS Australia is the largest and most respected meat and food producer in Australia. We have a strong portfolio of leading and renowned beef, lamb, pork, salmon and value-added branded products, such as AMH, Swift, Primo, Murray Valley and Huon. JBS Australia is a part of the global JBS business, the largest animal protein business in the world, and the second largest food company, with operations in North America, South America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The JBS Dinmore Processing Plant is the largest beef facility in the southern hemisphere. Located near Ipswich, in south east Queensland, the facility has a daily production ability of 3,400 cattle and employs approximately 2,600 people. Cattle are sourced from the finest cattle producing regions to produce a diverse range of pasture fed and grain beef products, from commodity to premium. The renowned AMH brand, the award-winning Yardstick, the highly marbled grain fed Pure Prime and our state’s brand, Queenslander Beef and more are all produced at Dinmore.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Metal Fabricator to join our Dinmore Plant. We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual who is committed to the position and providing an effective professional service. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic, exciting organization who are the leaders in safety and culture across Australia. Within the role you will enjoy the benefits and satisfaction in contributing to the continued growth and success of our business. This role will be responsible for providing maintenance support to all areas across the plant to ensure the attainment of Production, Quality/FSQA, and Workplace Health and Safety requirements and objectives. This is a full-time position with the annual salary not less than $79,423 plus superannuation.

Responsibilities:

Ensure WH&S standards are complied with at all times.
Perform metal repairs, general fabrication and welding to a high-quality standard.
Design, draw and fabricate own work.
Read and understand schematics and specifications to determine job requirements.
Complete tasks to a high standard while managing and adhering to timelines.
Maintain workshop and job housekeeping standards.

Criteria:
Fabricator trade qualifications and post-trade experience of a minimum of two years.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills.
A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices.
A thorough understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
A thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.
