About the Role

Sweet Talk Cafe is looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team.

This role is about more than just cooking, it’s about taking pride in your work, maintaining high standards, and contributing to a smooth, supportive, and efficient kitchen environment. You’ll play a key part in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to excellence and customer experience.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced café setting, values teamwork, and brings a calm, positive energy to service.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Preparing and executing menu items to a consistently high standard
Maintaining quality, presentation, and portion control
Supporting the overall kitchen flow during busy service periods
Contributing to a clean, organised, and efficient workspace
Assisting with prep, stock management, and daily kitchen operations
Working collaboratively with the team to deliver a seamless customer experience

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a fast-paced cafe or kitchen environment
Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Confidence in maintaining consistency during busy periods
A positive, team-focused attitude
Strong communication and reliability
Understanding of food safety and kitchen cleanliness standards
