Full Job Description

Multispectrum is looking for an experienced individual in fibre optic and hybrid fibre copper (HFC) network devices. The applicant should have knowledge of CCTV systems and be able to install, test & commission fibre optic and hybrid fibre copper (HFC) network devices and optic fibre in an active & passive network. This is a full time position.
Salary: $75,000.00 to $82,000.00 /year
Qualification: Degree/diploma/certificate in Telecommunications/IT
Experience:

Optic Fibre and Mixed Network: 2 years minimum
Licence:
Current Driver's LicenseThe applicant’s required skills:
To work well in a team environment and pro-actively delegate and organise work.
Installation & programing of CCTV cameras, DVR, NVR, & mobile apps.
Apply knowledge on electronic and HFC network standards.
Maintain records and provide appropriate reporting as required.
Finalising designs and coordinating with client design team.
Analyse drawings, specifications and work areas to determine the required positions and connections for equipment to be installed.
Schedule network outages and manage the network roll out, wherever required.
Installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Multiports, BJL, FJL, etc. in the Fibre network.
To assist in responding to emergency work to meet WHS requirements, that may arise during, and after hours, as required.
Help the teams working on Telstra pit & pipe, manholes, and aerial works.

Main Tasks:

Prepare the required documents to close each job, and close all the jobs on time.
Ensure that all works are completed as per the general industry and client’s standards.
Maintain all site documents, at all times.
Work well in a team environment, and individually.
Organize and execute jobs as per the NBN schedules & standards.
Coordinate effectively between client’s supervisor(s), end users, and Multispectrum projects team.
Minimum two years of experience required in Fibre Optic and Mixed network installation & commissioning.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
