About us:
We are a newly opened Vascular Surgery with a dedicated ultrasound clinic. Our two Vascular Surgeons are already established in the Geelong and Melbourne area.
We would like an experienced vascular sonographer to join our growing and expanding ultrasound services. We have special interests in intra-procedural vascular ultrasound.
About you:
This is a newly created role within our practice, and we are seeking either one full‑time sonographer or two part‑time sonographers to join our team. While previous vascular laboratory experience is preferred, it is not essential. Your minimum one year of sonography experience, combined with a proactive, positive, and patient‑focused approach, will ensure our patients feel supported throughout their medical journey.
You will have a genuine interest in working closely with Vascular Surgeons and will be upskilled as you assist them in their clinical work. We are looking for someone who is seeking a longer term opportunity and the chance to grow with the practice.
Our preferred candidate will have experience in the following:
- Delivering exceptional customer service and clinical care at all times
- Performing vascular ultrasound examinations
- Producing high quality diagnostic images and measurements
- Preparing detailed clinically relevant reports
- Communicating with patients in a calm reassuring manner
- Managing patients with mobility issues, pain or anxiety
- Providing strict confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
- Maintaining equipment care and quality assurance
- Working closely with the vascular surgeons to support diagnostic decision making
- Managing scan schedules efficiently and ensuring timely patient flow
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Willingness to assist in intra-procedural ultrasounds with the surgeons
You will have one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Medical Ultrasound OR
- Graduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasound OR
- Masters of Medical Ultrasound
- ASAR Accreditation (mandatory)
- Graduate Diploma in Vascular Sonography
- Police Check – current
- Working with Children – current

Hours:
Full Time
Monday 8:30am till 5:00pm (30 minute unpaid lunch)
Tuesday to Friday 9:00am till 5:00pm (30 minute unpaid lunch)
OR
Part time – job share
Two or three days per week, with the above hours. Equalling to a full time equivalent role.
Pay rate:
$85.00 to $110.00 per hour plus super
