Casual Pool Lifeguards

Berrigan Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from enthusiastic and community-minded individuals to join our casual pool lifeguard team for the upcoming 2026/2027 swimming season.

As a Pool Lifeguard, you will play an important role in ensuring a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

Duties include:

Supervising pool users and maintaining a safe aquatic environment.
Responding to emergencies and administering first aid when required.
Providing excellent customer service.
Assisting with the presentation and cleanliness of pool facilities.
Undertaking routine operational and safety checks.

What we’re looking for:

Current Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or equivalent).
Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011).
Current Provide CPR (HLTAID009).
NSW Working with Children Check.
Make your mark and help shape a safer, cleaner, and more connected community.
Availability to work weekdays, weekends, public holidays and varied shifts throughout the pool season.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
