About the role

Reporting to the Branch Manager and based at our Emerald branch, you will be part of a team that values safety, reliability and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

What you will be doing:

Deliver steel products safely to customers using an HR truck and, where applicable, a truck-mounted crane
Load and unload materials, including operating a vehicle loading (fixed) crane
Provide professional, customer-focused service at delivery sites
Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with company procedures
Comply with all relevant Australian heavy vehicle, WHS and transport regulations, policies and procedures
Assist with general warehouse operations as required, including picking and packing customer orders, loading and unloading vehicles and operating equipment such as forklifts

Working hours are 7.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. The hourly rate on offer is $37 plus remote location allowance of $25,000 p.a.

What you will bring:

HR (Heavy Rigid) truck licence and Forklift ticket essential
Strong customer service skills
A safety-first mindset
No prior steel/product knowledge required
Experience with forklift operation and load restraint, along with a Dogging licence, will be highly regarded but is not essential
