As an Associate Research Fellow, you will:
- Join a highly productive, NHMRC/MRFF funded, multidisciplinary group collaborating with some of the best microbiome teams in the world
- Focus on the role of the infant microbiome and its interaction with immune and mitochondrial pathways in the development of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), food allergy, and asthma.
- Maintain a high-quality data management system to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with research standards and protocols.
- Achieve a strong and consistent publication output.
- Submit annual fellowship and CIA/B grant funding applications.
- Supervise and mentor PhD students to support their research progress and professional development.
- Contribute to journal club activities to promote critical appraisal of current literature and knowledge sharing within the research team.
- Coordinate symposia/retreats and weekly stand-up meetings.
- Have the opportunity to combine remote and face-to-face work
To be successful, you’ll have:
- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.
- Emerging research and scholarship through publications and funding success
- Demonstrated skills in metagenomics analysis
- Experience in applying AI-based analytical methods to research data.
- Proficiency in the use of R, REDCap, and Stata (desirable) for data management, statistical analysis, and reporting.
