About the role:
We are seeking a casual paralegal to join our Insurance Group in our Brisbane office, working 3 or 4 days per week. You will work closely with this dynamic team across a broad spectrum of workers compensation, personal injury, dust diseases and special issues matters. You will be responsible for:
- Conducting searches and inquiries
- Updating legal database records
- Conducting effective legal research and analysis to assist in producing timely, commercial and legally accurate advice
- Managing a robust workload, including prioritising work and delivering services effectively
- Developing an understanding of client operations and strategy
About you:
You will be supported in this close knit group, given training, mentoring and guidance from your peers and leader. You will need to be self-motivated and adaptable in this dynamic environment. Ideal background and skills include:
- Prior experience as an Insurance Paralegal (not essential but highly regarded)
- Ideal role for law students with an interest in this area
- Excellent deadline management skills with the ability to adjust and manage flexible priorities
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to relate to people at all levels and effectively work in a team
