Full Job Description

24 hours per week (Mondays required) | 3-4 days | $34.00 per hour + super

Bigweld Gas & Welding Supplies is a family-owned, independent industrial gas and welding supply business based in Braemar, Southern Highlands NSW. As we grow, we are looking for a reliable Part-time Bookkeeper with previous bookkeeping or accounts experience.

About the Role:

This part-time position is for 24 hours per week, across 3-4 days, based on-site at our Braemar facility. The exact days and hours can be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate, with working hours between 8:00am and 4:30pm (Mondays are required).

This role would suit someone who is organised, dependable and looking to balance work with family, studies or other personal commitments. You will support the day-to-day bookkeeping and administration of the business, working closely with management and our team in a friendly, hands-on small-business environment.

This is a fully office-based role; remote or work-from-home arrangements are not available.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and entering supplier bills.
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using our accounting system.
Process and reconcile day-to-day banking transactions.
Assist with weekly payroll and superannuation processing.
Assist with financial reporting and BAS preparation as required.
Provide administrative support such as filing, order processing and responding to customer enquiries.

Requirements:

1+ years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounts admin or similar role (required)
Experience with Reckon Accounts Hosted or QuickBooks (preferred)
Computer literate and confident in using Google Workspace
Highly organised and strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Willing to learn and contribute across different areas of the business
