This is an exciting opportunity to step into a fast-paced, highly visible role where you’ll manage complex projects from planning through to delivery, working alongside clients, builders, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Manage commercial and data centre projects across VIC from planning through to delivery
- Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, procurement, and on-site project activities
- Ensure quality standards are maintained across vendors, suppliers, and all processes
- Collaborate with finance teams to manage project budgets, forecasting, costs, and revenue projections
- Support global account teams to ensure alignment in project delivery methods and communication
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes
- Proactively identify, manage, and resolve project issues to keep projects on track and delivered safely and efficiently
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Experience in Project Management within construction, infrastructure, electrical, mechanical, or Power Generation environments
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
- Highly organised with excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work autonomously
- Financial and commercial awareness with a focus on project outcomes
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or related discipline preferred
Role Description.
Power Generation Project Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, execution, and successful completion of power generation projects, with the added scope of team management and leadership.
These projects typically involve the construction, commissioning, and maintenance of various types of Power Generation equipment and associated balance of plant. The Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Skills, Qualifications required/desirable.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
