Full Job Description

The Opportunity

If you're ready to translate your doctoral training into meaningful discovery, this Research Fellow position within the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology team at Monash's Clayton campus offers the scope and support to do exactly that.

What You'll Be Working On

This fixed-term, full-time role sits within an active research group investigating molecular mechanisms at the forefront of biochemical science. You will contribute to the design and execution of laboratory-based research projects, generate and interpret experimental data, and co-author publications in peer-reviewed journals. You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to the supervision of postgraduate students as your research profile develops.

Design and conduct experiments aligned with the group's research program
Analyse, interpret, and present findings to internal and external audiences
Contribute to grant reporting and support future funding applications
Engage in cross-disciplinary collaborations across the Clayton campus

What You'll Bring

A PhD in immunology, or a closely related discipline (conferred or near completion)
Hands-on experience with immunology, molecular and cellular biology techniques, such as flow cytometry, sequencing and imaging
A developing publication record demonstrating research contribution
Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with relevant laboratory software
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills suited to scientific reporting and presentation
