About the Role:
Overlooking the Adelaide Parklands and just minutes from the CBD, Rydges South Park Adelaide keeps a busy kitchen running across restaurant service, room service, and catering for our Skyline Events Centre and rooftop pool area.
We're looking for a Casual Commis Chef to join the brigade, working across sections and supporting the delivery of consistent, high-quality food for everything from an intimate breakfast service to a large conference lunch. This role is perfect for someone building their craft who wants exposure to both restaurant and event-style cookery in a busy, supportive kitchen.
Skills & Experience:
- 1+ years of experience as a commis chef working in hotels, restaurants or bistros.
- Experience working on different sections of the kitchen is ideal, but we can train you.
- Passion for cooking good food and working breakfast or dinner shifts.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WH&S practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and follow kitchen procedures.
- Passion for food preparation and willingness to learn across all kitchen areas.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a professional attitude.
