Hunter Tax Services is a reputable Tax Accounting Bookkeeping business that continues to serve Newcastle and the Hunter region for over 27 years.

We are a small team committed to our clients tax accounting needs, and currently looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper.

Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting (Accounting)

financial management responsibilities of a bookkeeper

We are looking for someone who:

Has a proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.
Certificate III in Finance or equivalent qualification, minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
Has a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
Professional attitude and appearance
Is friendly, warm and nurturing.
Is a problem solver with a can-do attitude.
Has a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Is hospitable and anticipates the needs of others.
Is proficient in Xero, MYOB and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent organisational skills with effective time management.
Integral member of our small team
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong Customer focus with an exceptional phone manner
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Friendly personality and excellent attention to detail
Good time management & be able to multitask

Typical duties include, but aren’t limited to:

Oversee and maintain accurate financial records for the businesses, including daily transactions, STP Payroll processing, invoicing, and expense tracking for multiple business clients of a variety of industries.
Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate billing and receipt processing,
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
Greet and assist clients

Pay: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour
