About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.

We are currently looking to fill 1 permanent part time position. You must be available for all shifts:

Week 1:

Thursday 6:30am to 2pm

Friday 6:30pm to 11:30am

Saturday 4:30pm to 10pm

Week 2:

Monday 6am to 9:30am

Tuesday 6:30am to 12:30pm

Saturday 2pm to 8pm

Sunday 4:30pm to 10pm

*Please Note: It is important to understand that our clients’ needs, and their support plans can change which also means that our roster lines may change and will be confirmed at the time of offer.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily routines including manual handling, domestic assistance and personal care
Empower clients by promoting choice, independence, and participation
Community engagement including riding a bike and bushwalking
Promote client choice and independence in all interactions

Skills & Experience

Dementia and behaviour support required
An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
