As our next Quality Food Safety (QFS) Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bringing this commitment to life. You will hold end-to-end operational and strategic responsibility for QFS at the site level, ensuring that every product leaving our facility is safe, legal, and exceeds consumer expectations.
As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will drive our site-wide Quality agenda, foster a robust quality culture, and lead a dedicated team of QFS Associates in a trustful, transparent, and collaborative environment
What you’ll do:
- Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to shape, align, and execute the sites holistic business strategy and QFS priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the site QFS team.
- Deploy and maintain Mars QFS standards, driving end-to-end compliance with internal policies, legal guidelines, and external regulatory requirements.
- Lead risk assessment and hold/release protocols (PRIMP); set robust factory start-up guidelines following critical incidents.
- Oversee change management processes, ensuring technical site changes protect Key Quality Attributes (KQAs), food safety, and legal parameters.
- Direct the corrective action loop and quality reviews to constantly elevate site performance.
- Manage non-conformities, technical consumer complaints, and optimize the site T0 CAB budget.
- Drive technical capability-building programs for both QFS specialists and broader Supply Associates.
Your unique ingredients:
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant technical or scientific discipline (Food Science, Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in a technical or quality function within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or food manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of line management with a passion for coaching, developing teams, and cultivating a high-performing collaborative environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems, HACCP, global quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong change management and project management capabilities. Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
