Eco Sakura Energy Pty Ltd is a growing renewable energy and solar product distribution company headquartered in Western Australia. We supply solar panels, inverters, battery energy storage systems, mounting solutions and related products to solar installers, electrical contractors, distributors and commercial partners across Australia.
Due to continued business growth and the expansion of our commercial customer base, we are seeking an experienced Sales Representative – Industrial Solar Products to develop customer relationships, identify new business opportunities and provide product-focused sales solutions within the renewable energy sector.
The position will report to the WA Sales Manager and work closely with the sales, procurement, warehouse, logistics and customer service teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with solar installers, electrical contractors, distributors, commercial energy businesses and project partners.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers through regular communication, meetings, site visits and account follow-up.
- Consult with customers to understand their project specifications, technical requirements, purchasing volumes, budgets and delivery schedules.
- Recommend suitable solar panels, inverters, battery storage systems, mounting products and related solutions based on customer and project requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of Eco Sakura’s product range, technical specifications, stock availability, pricing arrangements, warranties and supplier information.
- Prepare product proposals and quotations in accordance with approved pricing and credit policies.
- Negotiate order quantities, delivery arrangements and commercial terms within delegated authority, escalating significant pricing or contractual matters to the WA Sales Manager.
- Follow up quotations, sales enquiries and prospective orders to improve conversion rates and achieve individual sales targets.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse and logistics teams to confirm stock availability, allocate products and support accurate and timely order delivery.
- Work with internal staff and suppliers to clarify product compatibility, technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Assist customers with pre-sale enquiries and coordinate the resolution of product, warranty, delivery and after-sales issues.
- Collect and report customer feedback, competitor information and local market observations to the WA Sales Manager to support sales planning and business development.
- Maintain accurate records of customer details, quotations, sales opportunities, orders and follow-up activities in the company’s CRM, ERP or sales management systems.
- Maintain an accurate individual sales pipeline and submit regular customer activity, quotation, order status and sales progress reports to the WA Sales Manager.
- Represent Eco Sakura professionally at customer meetings, supplier presentations, industry events and other relevant business activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in B2B sales, technical sales, industrial product sales, key account management or business development.
- Experience selling solar products, battery storage systems, electrical equipment, industrial machinery, automation products, engineering components or other specialised technical products will be highly regarded.
- Ability to understand technical product information and recommend practical product solutions based on customer requirements.
- Experience preparing quotations, negotiating commercial terms, managing customer accounts and following sales opportunities through to completion.
- Strong customer relationship management, communication, commercial negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of sales order processing, inventory availability, procurement, warehousing and delivery coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using CRM, ERP, inventory or sales management systems.
- Self-motivated, organised and results-focused, with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and sales opportunities independently.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence and willingness to attend customer meetings, site visits and occasional interstate business activities.
