MULTIPLE ROLES AVAILABLE!! We are looking for a talented and experienced Marine Welder / Boilermakers (Aluminium Specialist) to join our team. The successful applicant will become part of our Cairns team, enjoying competitive pay and full penalty rates.
About this Role:
- Fabrication of new aluminium structures
- Deck repairs and replacements
- Watertight door and hatch installations
- Working with pipes, tanks and other aluminium components
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing high-quality aluminium welds using various techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG)
- Ensuring welds meet stringent quality standards and classification society requirements
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
- Following safe work practices and adhering to all safety protocols
- Contributing to a positive and productive team environment
- Working independently and as part of a team on various projects
To be Successful in this role you will need:

Completion of a relevant vocational qualification in welding or engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in coded welding, specifically with aluminium
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated expertise in aluminium welding using TIG and MiG processes
- Experience working in a shipyard or marine environment is a strong preference
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
What We Offer:

Earn $45 to $55 per hour once coded. Experienced welders will be required to get qualified in a minimum of 6 weld procedures and be coded.
