We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join a well-established, busy community pharmacy in Kenmore, Brisbane.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid community pharmacy experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll work closely with the Retail Manager and pharmacy owners, gaining exposure to the operational and management side of the business while remaining involved in the day-to-day running of the pharmacy.
The owners are very hands-on and have built a supportive, close-knit team environment where people are encouraged to develop, take ownership and grow within the business.
About the Role
This is a permanent full-time position, Monday to Friday, offering variety and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing exceptional and knowledgeable customer service
- Assisting customers with pharmacy and front-of-shop products
- Supporting the Retail Manager with daily pharmacy operations
- Assisting with stock management, merchandising and ordering
- Helping coordinate and support the retail team
- Assisting with operational and administrative tasks
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of a busy community pharmacy
- Developing your knowledge across pharmacy retail, operations and management
For the right person, there is genuine scope to develop into a more senior position over time.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant within community pharmacy
- Strong S2/S3 knowledge – highly desirable
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Confidence working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and the ability to take initiative
- An interest in developing your skills in pharmacy operations and management
- A positive, reliable and team-focused attitude
You may already be an experienced Pharmacy Assistant looking for greater responsibility, or someone wanting to progress towards a senior, 2IC or management-style position.
