Full Job Description

Golden Grove Vets4Pets and supporting clinics are looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about animal care and client service. In this position you’ll play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team while providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

What makes this role special

We are a well-equipped practice with a collaborative working environment and although we offer extended emergency hours to serve our community our patients are cared for during those hours meaning no overnight shifts are required. This allows you to maintain a healthy balance between your professional commitment and personal life.

Key responsibilities include:

Caring for hospitalised patients
Assisting with consultations and performing nurse consultations
Assisting with surgical procedures and anaesthetic monitoring
Supporting our extended emergency hours service including patient triage
Maintain an excellent level of patient and client care
Maintain a high-level of cleanliness
Assist with reception and administration duties

What we are looking for:

Currently holds a Certificate IV in veterinary Nursing, Bachelor of Vet Technology
Ability to work well and multitask in a busy hospital environment
A desire to deliver excellent standards of patient care and client service
Experience using Idexx, VetLab station, Catalyst and Procyte Dx equipment (not essential)

Excellent communication and organisational skills
An eagerness to learn to develop their skills
Genuine love for animals and their people
