Cardiac Sonographer - Ryde is looking for a cardiac sonographer to work Fridays (8hrs) to backfill (minimum 14 weeks) from end of July until mid November 2027.

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until 15 November 2026 (with possibility of ongoing employment)

Where you'll be working
Ryde Hospital

Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.

The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.

Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.

What you'll be doing
Provide clinical cardiology diagnostic and database service on an in-patient and out-patient basis. Performing haemodynamic recording and monitoring. Performing physiological measurements and analysis. Providing cardiac technical troubleshooting on equipment as required.
Portable bedside TTE scans for inpatients.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

Hold a bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) and holds a Post Graduate Degree in Sonography or qualifications or competencies deemed equivalent by the employer and performs Cardiac Sonography or Electrophysiological Studies (EPS).
Experience with - ECG, Holter Monitoring, Stress Testing, Tilt Table Testing, Cardiac Catheterisation or Pacing/AICD follow-up.
Computer knowledge, including data processing and trouble shooting skills. Effective and professional communication skills.
