About the role

3 North is a Urology/Gynaecology ward, providing acute patient care to this group of patients, as well as to overflow general surgical and general medical patients. This ward consists of 23 in-patient beds, plus a treatment room for patients undergoing a trial of void or bladder instillations.

When working on 3 North, you will notice the welcoming and supportive environment, whilst feeling valued and highly regarded as a member of the multidisciplinary team. This allows our staff to deliver and focus on high quality, safe patient care.

Employees are encouraged to apply for professional development, and additional time is provided in double staff time for education, training and competencies. Opportunities for contributing in a field of interest at the ward level, such as the wound, blood, infection control, education portfolios is also available.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Current registration with AHPRA
Recent Acute Surgical Experience (within the last 12 months)
Ability to work a seven-day roster, including night duty shifts, as required by the unit.
A background in Urological / Gynaecological Nursing desirable (within the last five years)
Completion of a Graduate Year essential
Intravenous Analgesic / Epidural competencies desirable
