You’re open to a change of direction and a new challenge.
Work in an organisation based on purpose, structure and process. You know that to make a meaningful contribution to our community and economy, there needs to be diligence in our operations.
In this role, you'll:
Work within our Corridor Performance Team within the Operations Management Branch of the Coordinator General division at Transport for NSW, with a focus on ramp metering and signal operations to support our multi-model transport network during disruptions.
This role will see you identifying, analysing and responding to traffic congestion by operating various TMC systems in real time to achieve the optimal traffic flow on the NSW transport road network.
This will see you using CCTV, traffic data from around the network, to see where traffic is building and investigating why the delays are occurring and apply real-time treatments through SCATS and other means.
You will work in an operations centre, which operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, where you will work a roster pattern that encompasses early and late shifts between the hours of 5am to 7pm, 7 days per week. Additional hours may be required to meet business needs. Allowances will be payable as per award.
For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack.
About you
Your experience and knowledge will be in Traffic Data, Traffic Engineering or highly Technical Analytical roles like a Systems Analyst, Data Analyst or Business Analyst.
You’re recognised for being naturally intrigued by numbers, patterns and business efficiencies, where maybe your career has involved traffic principles, efficiencies and strategies. Perhaps in Traffic Modelling, Traffic Planning or Traffic Improvement.
This is an Award Transport Grade 6 Permanent Full-Time role based onsite at the Eveleigh Transport Management Centre (TMC).
