What you’ll do
In the role of Cloud Engineer,, you will partner with the Product Owner to convert strategic business goals into technically sound backlog items and architectural blueprints, delivering impactful and sustainable engineering outcomes. You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering squads while steering the strategic direction of Hosting PaaS services to maximize scalability and operational performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Connecting Business and Technology: Serve as the primary technical consultant to the Product Owner—translating complex requirements and architectural designs into clear, prioritized backlog tasks and user stories.-
Evaluating Cloud & AI Services: Analyze Azure and GCP native services—including AI platforms (e.g., Vertex AI, Foundry) and containerized solutions—to decide what to enable for the platform, weighing advantages, operational challenges, and security patterns alongside the Technical Architect.

Building & Upholding Engineering Standards: Lead the hands-on development of reusable Terraform modules and platform-native governance rules, while guiding cloud engineers to ensure these standards and automation are applied consistently across all environments.

Establishing Observability & Scalable Operations: Collaborate with the team to define health metrics, logging, and observability requirements, managing performance monitoring and capacity planning to ensure high resilience.

Fostering Collaborative Impact: Work across engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to build technical alignment, ensuring cloud choices directly support business goals and deliver customer value.

You bring a potent combination of advanced cloud proficiency—particularly in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud—alongside the strategic foresight necessary to guide our PaaS portfolio’s growth, maintaining a resilient and pioneering infrastructure.
Core Competencies

Proven Multi-Cloud Engineering: Deep hands-on experience configuring, securing, and managing enterprise services in Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.

Terraform Mastery: 5+ years of experience leveraging Terraform to build scalable, production-grade cloud infrastructure and platform modules.

Governance & Security Mindset: Practical experience setting up platform governance (policy engines, IAM, network security patterns) in enterprise environments.

Observability Expertise: Experience establishing health metrics, alerting patterns, and monitoring specs for cloud services.

Technical Leadership: Ability to guide and mentor cloud engineers, review code, and bridge the gap between high-level architectural designs and practical execution.

Collaborative Pragmatism: Experience working with Technical Architects and Product Owners to turn complex requirements into prioritized, deliverable sprints.
