About the Role:
Provide a balanced range of nutritional food at a reasonable cost to students and staff within the school, while maintaining a high standard of hygiene in the preparation, presentation and serving of food.
Coordinate the daily administration of the school canteen, supervise canteen staff and provide quality customer service to students, clients and staff through professional, timely and cost effective canteen and catering services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the school canteen, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Plan, prepare, and serve healthy and appealing meals and snacks in line with nutritional guidelines.
Oversee stock management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining inventory.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Manage and supervise canteen staff and volunteers, including rostering and training.
Handle cash and electronic payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
Develop and implement strategies to improve the canteen's operations and menu offerings.

About You:
Previous experience in food preparation, hospitality, or canteen management (preferred).
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (Food Safety Supervisor certification is desirable).
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a team of staff and volunteers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to promoting healthy eating habits among students.
