Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Microservices Developer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native, serverless applications on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building scalable microservices using Node.js, AWS serverless technologies, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performing, and reliable cloud solutions while following modern DevOps and Agile practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AWS-based microservices and serverless applications.
- Build scalable solutions using Node.js 20.x and AWS Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM).
- Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures using AWS services.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation.
- Implement secure, reliable, and highly available cloud-native solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support.
- Ensure applications meet security, scalability, reliability, and operational best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives where required.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of software development experience, including at least 3+ years of hands-on AWS development.
- Strong experience developing microservices using Node.js 20.x.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM).
- Strong experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation.
- Solid understanding of microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, CloudWatch, and S3.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration using ECS or EKS.
- Knowledge of AWS security best practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Experience in the Energy or Utilities sector is highly desirable.
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate is an advantage.
- Previous experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring development teams is desirable.
Pay: From $130,000.00 per year
