FinXL is seeking a Senior Developer - Google Workspace (GW) to join our consulting team on a 12+ months contract in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Adelaide. Candidates with NV1 or NV2 are preferred. This role is open only to candidates with Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance!
Advance your consulting career and join the FinXL Cloud Practice as a Senior Developer - Google Workspace (GW) for a pivotal government engagement. This position combines hands-on engineering execution with high-security cloud integration within an air-gapped environment. You will act as a core technical builder, configuring, deploying, and optimizing Google Workspace productivity applications and cloud services to ensure robust performance, data security, and seamless user experience. Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform, NV1, NV2.
Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on engineering and development for secure Google Workspace applications, including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and Meet.

Build and integrate cloud productivity tools within an enhanced, secure, air-gapped hyperscale environment.

Configure and optimize Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, database, networking, and storage components supporting Workspace apps.

Implement robust cloud security practices, access controls, and compliance configurations tailored to federal agency requirements.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary consulting teams to implement scalable, repeatable deployment scripts and automation solutions.

Perform initial system setups and participate in site visits or travel to client facilities as required during initial deployment phases.

Troubleshoot complex integration issues, maintain system stability, and deliver continuous functional enhancements.
Key Skills & Experience

Proven hands-on development or engineering background with Google Workspace tools or enterprise cloud productivity platforms.

Solid technical expertise across major public cloud platforms, primarily Google Cloud Platform (or comparable experience with AWS, Azure, Oracle, or IBM Cloud).

Experience working with cloud infrastructure components, including storage, networking, security controls, and databases.

Practical experience or understanding of deploying systems within high-security, classified, or air-gapped cloud environments.

Strong technical problem-solving capabilities with a practical, hands-on delivery approach.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively within large-scale government program teams.

Willingness to undertake initial travel to project location as required.

Mandatory Requirement: Must be an Australian Citizen.

Existing NV1 or NV2 security clearance is preferred; sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
Engagement Details

12+ months contract with a Government client.
