- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience in backend coding languages such as GOLang, Rust, or Java.
- Experience in ML model coding languages (e.g., Python).

NetSoft Sydney writes internal software that helps Google forecast, plan, design, and deploy its global production network. Google's network is growing at a huge rate along with our Cloud business, and in order to keep up with demand, we are in the process of fundamentally rethinking how we plan and design Google's network - how to be agile, flexible and fast even as we provide cutting-edge technology support. We're trying to get to a point where forecasting, planning, and deployment are mostly automated, but we have a long road to get there, and we need experienced and creative developers to join us. - Write product or system development code.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
