About the Role

Due to growth within our contracts, Ventia are seeking a Security Administrator to support all Ventia Defence contract personnel and subcontractors in security processing, reporting and education, in accordance with the Defence Security Policy Framework and in support of Ventia’s Defence Industry Security Program membership.

This position is open for Australian Citizens and is a 6-month Fixed Term opportunity based out of our Cremorne offices, but we are open to applications from other states in Australia.

Other responsibilities include but not limited to:

Process employee and subcontractor DCAC Applications (Defence Contractor Access Cards).
Process employee and subcontractor Security Clearances.
Maintain the Ventia Security Officer Registers.
Report all Security incidents and events to the Defence Security Incident Control Centre.
Support data gathering and reporting for non-conformance process.
Liaise with Defence organisations such as AGSVA and DISP.
Be proactive in raising security awareness across all Defence contracts.
Active participant/chair in the monthly Unit Security Officer Meetings.
Attend Defence Security Information Forums.

About You

To be successful in this role, have experience working in a similar role, ideally within the Defence sector accompanied by:

Have a current Australian security clearance (Highly advantageous)
Strong Data Entry Skills
Be a proactive self-starter who takes initiative
Competent in MS Office Suite; Word, Excel
Sound Analytical Skills
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
