About the role:
This role reports to the CTO of the Avant Business Solutions division, which comprises several businesses providing products and services to the healthcare community (SaaS and Legal industry).
In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the end-to-end delivery of innovative projects and programs ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget alignment. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, lead agile practices, manage stakeholder relationships, and report on progress to leadership.
A defining focus of this role is AI, you'll embed AI-assisted development practices across the team, deliver AI-enabled capabilities that streamline internal business processes, and champion the responsible use of AI within a healthcare environment where privacy and data security matter deeply.
This role is ideally suited to a technically strong .NET professional who has successfully transitioned from hands-on software development into project delivery and team leadership, bringing the ability to bridge technical expertise with strategic execution, stakeholder engagement, and high-performing team management.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a cross-functional development team in a hands-on capacity
- Drive project delivery using Agile methodologies
- Coordinate sprint planning, stand-ups, retros, and demos
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise initiatives and propose solutions
- Deliver AI-enabled capabilities and integrations that improve internal business processes and staff productivity
- Embed AI-assisted development practices and tooling to lift delivery speed, quality, and developer experience
- Ensure high coding standards, application security, technical scalability, and long-term system sustainability
- Actively mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and purpose-driven culture
- Manage reporting, risk mitigation, and quality assurance processes
- Work closely with the CTO on continuous improvement of systems and processes
Skills and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Project Management or a related field
- Previous experience in .NET project management and delivery
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership experience
- Solid experience with Agile project management (Scrum, Kanban)
- Proficiency in .NET Core, SOLID principles, and RESTful API development
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular or Vue.js)
- Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools (such as coding assistants and automated testing) to improve delivery efficiency and quality
- Exposure to delivering or integrating AI-enabled capabilities, ideally in regulated industries such as healthcare
- An understanding of responsible AI, data privacy, and security considerations
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability to change and a collaborative mindset
