This role is a part of the Customer Protection Strategy & Performance team working together with stakeholders across the business to protect our customers against fraud and scams using CyberCrime techniques. The CyberCrime Specialist role plays a role in protecting our customers phishing and malware attacks through deep root cause analysis of existing fraud / scam event. The CyberCrime specialist is responsible for raising awareness within the Customer Protection and the wider ANZ teams through knowledge sharing sessions. This role also requires management of relationships with vendors relating to our Cybercrime detection tools (BioCatch / IBM Trusteer).
The CyberCrime specialist role is responsible for engagement with technology teams such as Falcon technology and Digital to deliver the scams roadmap and the impact this will have on existing controls. The candidate is expected to use analytical techniques to utilise internal and external data to identify compromises and fraud and scam trends and come up with prevention and detection strategies to mitigate the risk and exposure. The role also involves liaising with internal teams and the broader fraud community comprising of representatives from other banks, schemes, external vendors, law enforcement and government bodies.

Work Hours: Full time 40 hours/week What will your day look like?
As an Intelligence & Disruption Specialist you will be accountable for:
Automating and optimizing CyberCrime analysis processes.
Assisting in Fraud and compromised customer credential detection using behaviour bio-Fraud detection platforms.
CyberCrime Intelligence (phishing & malware) gathering, analysing, and actioning.
Develop processes and procedures for big data correlation and analysis
Stakeholder management with key technology partners such as Falcon technology, Digital and Business Platform Services teams.
Senior member of the CyberCrime team and coach junior members of the Digital Fraud Analytics team
Representation at industry forums relating to Cybercrime / Digital fraud
Closely work with detection and investigation teams to keep abreast of key fraud and scam trends they are observing and pass on observations and knowledge of emerging fraud scam trends
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Must have technical investigation and root cause analysis experiences with digital fraud and cybercrime targeting bank customers.
Demonstrated experiences with behaviour biometric Fraud detection.
Clear communication and public speaking skills
Must have solid understanding and working experience with banking malware, phishing techniques.
Understanding of retail & commercial bank products, payment channels / types & associated risks
Solid knowledge in IT and IT security, preferably with SAS/SQL skills
Hands on experience using Python, shell scripting etc
Ability to manage multiple priorities and support quick decision making.
Industry certificates such as GREM, CISSP
Malware reverse engineering skills
5+ years of experience in fraud related roles, preferably in banking or financial services.
3+ years of experience in Cybercrime, IT security related hands on positions
