About the role

Reporting to the Risk Coordinator, you'll play a key role in strengthening Council's risk maturity by supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our enterprise risk framework. With a strong focus on risk management, business continuity and incident management, you'll help ensure Council is well-positioned to identify, assess and respond to emerging risks while maintaining critical services for the community.

As part of a specialist team, you'll work closely with Directorates and Service Units across the organisation, providing expert advice and practical support to embed a proactive risk culture. You'll also contribute to high-quality reporting and insights for senior leadership, the Executive and governance bodies, including the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee, helping to drive informed decision-making and organisational resilience.

Remuneration

85,842.12 - 94,968.64 + 12% Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated risk, business continuity and incident management senior specialist experience in a diverse operational service delivery focused organisation.

Experience delivering risk advice and support to resolve problems or investigate and respond to business continuity matters or serious incidents.

Experience with assisting with the maintenance of enterprise risk register/s, and assisting operational service units develop and review operational risks registers.

Experience with the development and implementation of risk treatment plans and monitoring their effectiveness.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective workplace relationships and stakeholder management through adept communication skills and approachable style with a passion for risk management, safety improvement and customer service.
