Full Job Description

About the role

We are an established hospitality and entertainment venue seeking an experienced, dependable Bookkeeping / Administration Assistant. This role is responsible for accurate cash reconciliation, financial data entry, reporting and day-to-day administrative support.

The usual working hours are 10am-4pm, 5 days a week, with some flexibility available for the right applicant.

Key responsibilities

· Count and verify cash received from venue trading.

· Reconcile cash, tills, floats and system-recorded transactions.

· Identify, investigate and document discrepancies, escalating issues where required.

· Complete accurate financial and operational data entry using established systems.

· Prepare revenue, reconciliation and performance reports for management.

· Maintain clear records and supporting documentation.

· Follow cash-handling, security and financial-control procedures.

· Provide general administrative support to the venue and leadership team.

What you will bring

· Previous bookkeeping, cash-management or accounts administration experience.

· Demonstrated experience reconciling cash and multiple tills, ideally in hospitality, entertainment, retail or a similar environment.

· Strong numerical reasoning, reconciliation and data-entry skills.

· Confidence using spreadsheets, accounting software and business systems.

· Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management.

· Integrity, discretion and the ability to work independently.

· Clear communication and a practical approach to resolving discrepancies.

Supervisory-level bookkeeping or cash-reconciliation experience in hospitality will be highly regarded.
