Practice Manager – Eaglehawk GP Clinic

Eaglehawk GP Clinic is a newly established and growing general practice in Eaglehawk, Victoria. We are seeking an experienced, motivated and highly organised Practice Manager to take a leading role in the day-to-day management and continued development of the practice.

About the Role
The Practice Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation of the clinic, working closely with the doctors, nurses, reception team and practice owners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the medical practice
- Managing, supporting and coordinating administrative and clinical support staff
- Staff recruitment, onboarding, rostering and performance management
- Managing patient services and ensuring a high standard of customer service
- Maintaining compliance with RACGP, accreditation and relevant Medicare requirements
- Managing practice policies, procedures and quality improvement activities
- Supporting doctors and clinical staff with efficient practice workflows
- Managing Medicare, PIP, WIP, MyMedicare and other practice programs
- Monitoring practice performance, billing and financial processes
- Liaising with pathology, allied health providers, suppliers and external organisations
- Managing facilities and maintenance
- Managing complaints and patient feedback professionally
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, patient access and practice growth
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Medical Practice Manager or in a senior medical administration role
- Has excellent leadership and communication skills
- Is highly organised and able to work independently
- Has a good understanding of Australian general practice operations
- Has experience with RACGP standards and accreditation
- Has knowledge of Medicare, MBS, PIP and general practice funding arrangements
- Has strong computer and administrative skills
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is professional, approachable and patient-focused
- Can work collaboratively with doctors, nurses and administrative staff
- Is committed to maintaining a positive and supportive team environment
Experience with Best Practice software is highly desirable.

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
