Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10 - $133,348 to $146,945 base salary p/a plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

Location: Sydney CBD, with hybrid working conditions and a 50% office presence required. Flexible working arrangements may be available in line with the DCS Flexible Working Policy.
About the Role
Cyber Security NSW is seeking a Senior Coordinator to join the Cyber Incident Response Team. We are looking for a highly organised professional with experience leading, coordinating and managing a diverse group of technical specialists to support cyber incident response activities across the NSW Government. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on operational efficiency, team leadership and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will foster a collaborative work environment and ensure alignment with ICT and cyber security strategies to support the achievement of key business objectives.
This role includes participation in an on-call roster and may require work outside standard business hours in response to reportable cyber incidents. Flexibility and responsiveness are essential.
Key Accountabilities

Develop, document, implement and monitor business systems, procedures and methods, and adapt processes and techniques, to facilitate efficient business operations and make recommendations to improve efficiency, cost management and service delivery.

Lead and manage the coordination of a diverse group of technical professionals in the execution of cyber response, ensuring effective coordination, triaging and resolution of cyber incidents.

Manage and oversee operations, identifying, allocating and managing resources to ensure the delivery of core business requirements and the meeting of performance expectations.

Analyse and interpret operations performance data to proactively address trends and issues and support the senior leaders in leading change across operational teams to embed change in systems, policies and procedures, and ways of working.

Lead, manage and contribute to continuous business and customer service improvement initiatives to ensure optimal service delivery.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships and networks to ensure effective coordination of information, timely responses to meet business strategies, and foster a positive customer experience.

Develop, review and implement improved business procedures for cyber response capability, develop assessment protocols, guidance and supporting material, and facilitate technical advice and training to support professional development and capability building.

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of business operations, challenges and objectives, ensuring initiatives are integrated effectively into operational plans to deliver effective outcomes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

The ability to participate in an on-call roster and work outside standard business hours, including weekends and public holidays, when responding to reportable cyber incidents. Note: this requirement only applies when rostered for on-call duties.

Experience delivering high-quality business support services while managing competing priorities, tight timeframes and changing demands.

Proven ability to lead collaborative and high-performing teams, supporting team members to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes in a complex environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to continuously review and improve systems, processes and procedures while ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
Highly Desirable

Possession of, or willingness to obtain, an industry-recognised cyber security certification such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager).
Essential requirements

Must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline, or higher, National Security Clearance and successfully undergo a National Police Check.

Demonstrated technical experience in cyber incident response, including the use of cyber security tools, technologies and methodologies.

Ability to work on a continuous rostered on-call basis, including outside standard working hours such as evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required
