This role requires an excellent level of communication and interpersonal skills, good trouble shooting and analytical skills with flexible and solution focused approach. This role will require intrastate (across Victoria) travel to support our units and offices – as required.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Reporting to the IT Support Services Manager, this role is a key function within the VICSES Information Services team. The scope of responsibility extends to providing first and second level user support and technical administration support for all technology assets that VICSES is responsible for. This includes network, hardware and software assets including business, communication and security platforms.
The area of responsibility extends to all our members, offices (13), volunteer units (approximately 149) and ICT equipped vehicles and will require intrastate (across Victoria) travel to support these locations.
The business areas of responsibility for this role include service desk management, procurement tasks, business systems administration as well as participation in projects as directed.
Out-of-hours support on a rotating roster basis (average of one week per month) as the Information Services Duty Officer is mandatory.
Whilst this is a non-operational position, this role may provide support to operational staff during major or declared operations.

We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events.
As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
