Details: Digital Canberra is seeking an experienced and motivated leader to join the Strategic Asset Management Program as Assistant Director - ICT Facilities, Compliance and Delivery.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of ICT infrastructure refresh activities across ACT Government sites, ensuring facilities are ready to support modern technology services. You will oversee site readiness, implementation quality, compliance activities, communications room remediation, infrastructure installation, decommissioning and operational handover outcomes.
Working closely with technical specialists, project teams, operational stakeholders, vendors and trades, you will provide expert advice on infrastructure implementation, delivery risks and practical solutions that support safe, reliable and supportable technology outcomes. You will also lead staff and contribute to the successful delivery of a major government infrastructure renewal program.
We are looking for a collaborative leader with strong technical knowledge, sound judgement and experience coordinating complex ICT infrastructure or facilities-related delivery activities.

The successful applicant must be an Australian citizen.

This position is a Position of Trust and requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.

ACMA Open Cabling Registration with relevant structured cabling endorsements is highly desirable.

BICSI RCDD, BICSI Technician, or equivalent structured cabling, ICT infrastructure design or telecommunications distribution qualifications are highly desirable.

A Construction Induction Card (White Card) or equivalent site access credential is highly desirable.

A current driver's licence is highly desirable.

Project coordination, WHS risk assessment, site safety, asbestos awareness, working at heights or equivalent practical delivery training is desirable.
Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
