About the role
Thiess has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Systems Analyst to join our Group Finance Systems team. Reporting to the Manager, Group Finance Systems, you will play a key role in driving improvements across finance systems, reporting, analysis, and business processes.
This role partners closely with Finance, ICT, operational stakeholders, and external technology providers to deliver scalable solutions that enhance user experience, improve business insight, and support finance transformation initiatives across Thiess.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive improvements and enhancements across finance systems, reporting platforms, and business processes
- Collaborate with Finance and FP&A teams to develop insightful reporting and analysis solutions
- Gather business requirements and translate finance needs into practical system and reporting solutions
- Support and maintain key finance systems, including ERP and EPM platforms
- Lead system enhancement projects, upgrades, integrations, and process improvement initiatives
- Develop business cases, requirements documentation, and governance frameworks
- Provide user support, training, and change management activities
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Technology, Operations, and the broader CIMIC Group
- Mentor team members and contribute to best practice solution delivery
What You’ll Need to Succeed
You are a commercially minded systems professional who combines strong finance knowledge with technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards completion)
- Experience supporting JDE or other Tier 1 ERP platforms
- Exposure to finance transformation, process improvement, reporting automation, and system enhancement initiatives
- Strong experience with reporting and BI tools such as Power BI, ReportsNow, or similar solutions
- Business analysis experience including requirements gathering, workshops, and process mapping
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a complex environment
