About the Team
Reporting to the Design Communication Manager, the Senior Graphic Designer works in a dynamic, collaborative team of professional designers alongside communications professionals responsible for the internal and external communication requirements of the AEC.

As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will develop and deliver high-quality design solutions across a broad range of internal and external communication projects that support the delivery of the next federal election.
This role is ideal for an experienced designer who combines strong creative and technical expertise with a passion for producing engaging, accessible and effective visual communications. You will work within a small, supportive team committed to helping the AEC deliver world-class electoral services.
Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong visual design capability, and highly developed organisational skills to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are also essential, enabling you to effectively partner with internal clients and coordinate external service providers.
The role involves undertaking complex and sensitive work under broad direction, applying specialist expertise and professional knowledge in graphic design and production. During electoral events, you will contribute to the delivery of critical election activities within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

We are seeking a motivated and capable professional who can demonstrate the skills, knowledge and experience required to perform successfully in this role.
- Demonstrated high-level graphic design capability, delivering creative and technically sound design solutions.
- Experience interpreting client briefs, incorporating feedback constructively, and delivering effective visual communication solutions that meet objectives, timelines and quality standards.
- Expert proficiency in graphic design tools, particularly Adobe Creative Cloud, and strong capability using Microsoft Office products for print and digital outputs.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and translate complex information, data or processes into clear, engaging and effective visual design solutions.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a track record of delivering quality results within tight timeframes and competing priorities.
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships, communicating effectively and collaborating with colleagues, business areas and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Demonstrated capacity to contribute positively within a team environment while working independently when required to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Ability to remain resilient and adaptable in high-pressure situations, maintaining a positive approach and commitment to achieving results.
