Position Vacancy:

Job title: console operator/cashier closing shifts
casual position
shift times: 3pm-9pm, 5pm-9pm
shifts per week: 2-3 shifts
solo shift from 3pm or 5pm
weekends: includes weekend shifts
weekday rates: $36.85/hour weekday (Ages 20+)
weekend rates: $48.07/hour weekend (Ages 20+)

Position Overview:

As a Console Operator at The Station Grocer, you will be at the forefront of our customer service experience. You will be responsible for operating the console, assisting customers with fuel purchases, processing transactions, and ensuring a smooth operation. You will also be responsible for closing the store and preparing it for the following day. This role offers the opportunity to engage with our customers while working in a fast-paced and fun environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the console system efficiently to process fuel transactions accurately.
Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
Handle cash, card, and electronic transactions with precision and attention to detail.
Monitor fuel pumps and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the fueling area.
Prepare and serve hot beverages and food items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
Assist with restocking shelves, inventory management, and general store maintenance tasks.
Perform closing duties, including reconciling cash registers, securing the premises, and preparing the store for the next day.
Uphold company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and customer service standards.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive and enjoyable work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic math skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends.
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented culture.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $36.85 per hour
