Your next career opportunity
You will lead a high-tech engineering workshop, delivering safe, hands-on support for teaching, research and student projects. You will guide users through industry-aligned training, manage a skilled technical team and shape inclusive, practical learning environments.
Supervise and mentor technicians, allocating work, monitoring performance and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Possess qualifications in one or more technical trades such as machining, fabrication, mechatronics, electronics or digital fabrication.

Your new team sits within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology’s Infrastructure group, supporting world-class teaching and research. You will join the Workshop, Makerspaces and Engagement team, who run technical spaces, provide expert training and deliver high-quality fabrication services. The team values collaboration, safety, innovation and inclusive hands-on learning, working closely with academics, students and industry partners. You will contribute to reliable, well-managed workshops and makerspaces that help future engineers and technologists thrive.
